Gather Up Your Crew! Dining is an Adventure at The Landings

Dinner out with friends always means much more than the meal itself. It’s a chance to catch up, strengthen connections and enjoy a shared experience that feeds both stomach and soul. As humans, we’ve shared meals with friends and family since … Well, since we first gathered in tribes.

And for good reasons. Eating with others can make life more satisfying and build the kind of trust that lets you know your friends have your back. It’s likely why so many of us plan entire trips around food. When choosing where to go, the cuisine often carries just as much weight as the destination itself.

At The Landings Golf & Athletic Club, getting together with friends and family to explore a wide range of dining options is always a culinary adventure. But what kind of adventure?

That’s for you to decide!

The Deck at Franklin Creek

Twosome, Threesome, or foursome? Doesn’t matter. Every golfer worth their putt knows a new day on the back nine is a true adventure. And every golfer knows to start the day with a combination of complex carbohydrates, protein and healthy fats.

Drop in The Deck at Franklin Creek for a Power Bowl (Greek yogurt, fresh berries, banana, almond butter and pumpkin seeds) and a fresh-brewed coffee. Or, if you prefer, grab some avocado toast or build your own power breakfast sandwich to provide sustained energy throughout the morning.

Arnie’s Tavern at Marshwood

The vibe at Arnie’s Tavern might feel a little Caddyshack, but that’s only because this adventure is all about hanging out and sharing lots of laughs. Grab a chair at the bar with your buddies and order up some classic pub food served with that extra special Landings flair.

Tackle the TLC burger or Tavern Club if the morning round has your stomach growling. If you enjoy a lighter lunch, try Arnie’s Style chicken noodle soup (the secret? Pennsylvania Dutch Egg Noodles) and a classic Caesar salad on the side. Or order up some pub-style chicken wings and fuel up for the afternoon scramble.

Craft Kitchen & Bar at Palmetto

“Fare” warning! But in the best way possible. Craft Kitchen & Bar is less about loading up and more about loosening up. Think shareable plates, lighter bites, and a table that keeps evolving as quickly as the conversation.

Short rib sliders, a twist on a classic Reuben, smoked turkey with fig jam — everything is designed to mix, match, and pass around. It’s the kind of spot where you order one thing… then another…and another!

Heighten the adventure with a beer cocktail. Try the Jealous Moon (Amaro, Fernet-Branca, lemon, bitters, and pale ale) and let us know how many holes you finish before you decide to pack it in and head back to the bar with your squad.

Palmer’s Steakhouse at Marshwood

The popularity of Palmer’s Steakhouse is no mystery, though its timeless, elegant, and stylish atmosphere feels as if it were plucked from a case file of Sherlock Holmes. There’s a certain precision here. Like the perfect round of golf, where every detail has been observed, considered, and placed exactly where it belongs.

Wood-fired steaks, hearty sides, classic cocktails or the Bordeaux of the day. No detail overlooked. And thus the adventure reveals itself in layers. The char of the fire, the balance of seasoning, the quiet harmony between plate and pairing. Like a well-constructed case, each element builds upon the last, guiding you toward an inevitable, delectable conclusion.

Cabana Bar at Marshwood

After an active morning exploring Skidaway Island by bike, boat or elevated boardwalk, unwind at the Cabana Bar at Marshwood. The vibe is total vacation immersion (maybe even a little bright and breezy like Pirates of the Caribbean), so don’t shy away from a colorful cocktail paired with tasty firecracker shrimp.

Try the portabella tacos or a delicious grilled chicken club, and then find a lounge chair to linger a while. Maybe jump in the pool between blackberry fizzes and coconut lemon spritzers.

Osteria Oakridge

If your friend group hangs like Danny Ocean and his Ocean’s 11 crew, full of fun, loaded with charisma, and maybe up to something, make your way to Osteria Oakridge. The atmosphere is warm, vibrant, and just a little transportive. Sort of like stepping into a Tuscan evening without ever leaving the island.

Order the lemon- and caper-scented flounder and Faroe Island salmon, then share bites. Cap the night with a bottle of Pieropan Soave Classico and scoop gelato for dessert.

Deer Creek A Coastal Grill

If you’re in the mood, Deer Creek A Coastal Grill provides an oceanside vibe that feels like a celebration. With a nautical interior and gorgeous covered patio, seafood is fresh and local, with many items coming from local farms and companies within 50 miles of the Club.

Bond over Bull River oysters or the colossal shrimp cocktail, and then indulge in your very own Georgia clam bake. Try the grilled CAB filet mignon or the broiled 9-ounce lobster tail. Then sit back and watch the sunset gently fall into the ocean.

109th Hole

A day with the kids can feel a bit Adventures in Babysitting. Slightly crazed, a bit confusing, but laughs all along the way. Settle things down while keeping everyone engaged by grabbing lunch at the 109th Hole, where 13 screens keep the action going and the menu delivers all the classics: burgers, wings, and French fries galore.

It’s casual, lively and built for families who want to relax without worrying about keeping everyone entertained.

Finjin Sushi & Noodle Bar

Wrap up your adventure with something a little different at Finjin Sushi & Noodle Bar.

For your daring teen who wants to try everything, there’s beautifully prepared sushi. Younger siblings who might not be as culinarily brave will enjoy ramen and noodle dishes with a familiar twist.

It’s just the right mix of new and approachable, and just cool enough to keep teens interested. A perfect way to end the day with everyone satisfied.
