What to do in Savannah with kids? Almost anything your heart desires. There are so many cool places in Savannah, Georgia, we’ll have to stick to mentioning just a handful.
- Museums: These aren’t just any old museums. Some offer guided tours and military artifacts from the Civil War. Passing through City Market? The American Prohibition Museum contains history and a glimpse at some of history’s most notorious rumrunners, gangsters, flappers and more.
- Take to the Water: See the sights on a dolphin adventure cruise or spend some time on a Savannah Riverboat Cruise. Or you could hit the beach on Tybee Island. Here, water sports, wildlife, fresh seafood, and happy beachgoers abound. Get some sun, gather shells, play in the sand and surf, climb to the top of the lighthouse or bike the island.
- Go Bananas: Take the kids out to enjoy America’s favorite pastime at the legendary Grayson Stadium, where baseball greats such as Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Hank Aaron, Ty Cobb and Jackie Robinson all played during Minor League exhibitions. Another baseball great now calls Grayson Stadium home field: The Savannah Bananas. Until 2022, the Bananas competed in one of the top prospect leagues in the country. Since then, the Bananas and their entertaining form of “Banana ball,” have traveled the world as a barnstorming exhibition team, similar to the Harlem Globetrotters.

“Nature hikes with the kids, meeting friends at the pool, going for sunset golf cart rides — one of our biggest challenges is deciding what to do next,” says the Dew family who are residents of The Landings.

- Parks and Greenspaces: The Landings has many parks for play dates, picnics, and other events. Walking paths, biking trails, and hiking trails: The Landings has many trails for walking, biking, and hiking.
- Youth Camps: The Club offers a variety of seasonal camps for all ages, including summer day camp, skills-focused specialty camps and holiday camps. Our golf, court sports and aquatics departments offer specialized camps tailored to different age groups. Club camps are a great way to give the gift of learning a new skill and making life-long friends.
- Kids Night Out: Kids Night Out is a fun-filled, parent-free Saturday night extravaganza. Supervised by our professional youth staff, sessions take place every week (except holidays) from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Registrations are required and sign-ups close 48 hours before the events. Check-in is at the front desk in the Oakridge Wellness Center.
- Dive-In Movies and Friday Swim Nights: Who needs a drive-in when you can have a dive-in? Aimed at the Club’s younger members, Franklin Creek Pool transforms into a dive-in movie theater on Saturday nights in the summer. Our Dive-in Movies feature the newest releases and old favorites. Movies begin at sundown. Bring your towel and pool float and prepare for fun! And don’t miss out on our Friday Swim Nights when Franklin Creek Pool turns into a glow-in-the-dark extravaganza!
- Kids Fishing Lagoon: Kids Fishing Lagoon offers a serene and family friendly environment for children and grandchildren to experience the joy of fishing. With a focus on providing a safe and enjoyable fishing experience, this lagoon is the perfect spot for young anglers to learn and practice their fishing skills. In addition, a Kids’ Fishing Derby is typically held in May that features a grand prize for the child (ages 3-15) who catches one of the 10 tagged bluegill.
- Franklin Creek Pool: Swimming is always a family-friendly activity. This pool has a zero-entry shallow end, two slides, a diving board, and a pirate-themed children’s splash pad.
