The Club Car Golf Championship at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club
We’re thrilled to announce that the Korn Ferry Tour’s Club Car Championship returns to The Landings Golf & Athletic Club’s Deer Creek Course for the fifth time March 28-April 3, 2022. The tournament is a 72-hole, stroke-play competition with a total purse of $750,000. With 50 available PGA TOUR cards for the following season, the Korn Ferry Tour is The Path to the PGA TOUR.
Deer Creek, host course for the Club Car Championship and the next wave of PGA TOUR stars, was originally built by Tom Fazio in 1991, with the famed architect returning in 2009 to modernize the course via an expansive restoration. Crews have been hard at work getting the course ready, and we are excited to give the players a championship caliber experience during these interesting times!
The Club Car Championship has quickly become a player favorite on the Korn Ferry Tour. Adam Svensson won his first Korn Ferry Tour event in 2021 after surviving a playoff with Max McGreevy. In 2020, Evan Harmeling emerged victorious after defeating Kevin Doughtery in the tournament’s first playoff. In 2019, Dan McCarthy outlasted Scottie Scheffler to take home his first Korn Ferry Tour victory. Scheffler, who won twice on the Korn Ferry Tour last season, was recently named the PGA TOUR’s Rookie of the Year.
The Landings Club will offer complimentary admission to all United States Armed Forces (Active Duty, National Guard, Reserve, and Retirees), Veterans, and First Responders attending the fifth annual Korn Ferry Tour event.
