Angel Tree Brings Holiday Cheer to Those in Need

‘Tis the Season!

December is a wonderful month for us here at The Landings: full of parties, friends, family and holiday fun. The Realtors and staff at The Landings Company also look forward to December because ‘tis the season for the “Angel Tree”, which has been generously supported by our amazing community for 21 years now!

This program involves working with various Savannah agencies to identify hundreds of children whose families do not have the ability to provide gifts during the Christmas holidays. Two Christmas trees are set up in the Company’s Welcome Center and decorated with hundreds of little angel tags – each tag representing the specific wishes of an individual child. The children range in age from newborn babies to teens. Once the trees are up and filled with angel tags, residents arrive and select the child (or children) they want to purchase gifts for.

This year our two beneficiaries are The One Hundred Children’s Foundation (OHCF) and CASA (Court-Appointed Special Advocates) for children in foster care in the Savannah area. The OHCF will distribute gifts to these children through the CURE program for childhood cancer and the Sickle Cell Foundation.

Each and every year the beneficiaries (and our Realtors) are overwhelmed by the generosity of our community. It’s our hope that these gifts make the Holiday Season a little brighter for the children and the families that our partners support. Please stop by The Landings Company sales office at 1 Landings Way North and pick your angel from the tree. Gifts must be turned in by December 13th. Let’s make the holidays bright and memorable for all of these beautiful children again this year. Thanks in advance for your ever-generous kindness and support!
